I recently had the pleasure of working with Mimi, a multi-talented yoga teacher, life coach, and wellness practitioner. Mimi reached out to me for a custom photoshoot to help encapsulate the depth and variety of the modalities she offers - Yoga, Pilates, meditation, life coaching, and Reiki. She wanted her photos to connect with 20-45 year-old women - those seeking for community, spiritual connection and growth in a modern, holistic way. I couldn’t have been more excited to collaborate!

MEET MIMI!

Mimi’s vision was clear from the start: she wanted something that was spiritual, feminine, and creative. She was after a vibe that embraced nature, healing, self-development, and slowing down in an increasingly fast-paced world. A perfect fit for my style of photography, which focuses on natural light and the beauty of the surroundings.

We spent the afternoon moving between two stunning locations: the Currumbin Valley forest and Kirra Beach, one of my favourite beaches on the Gold Coast (I’ve spent countless hours here, trust me, it’s gorgeous). The forest, with its towering trees and earthy forest floor, felt like the perfect place to embody Mimi’s spiritual energy - a natural woodland goddess.

Meanwhile, the beach offered a different image of tranquility. The calming waves and reflections from the water proved to be an artistic backdrop for moments of meditation and stillness. As the sun began to set,
the sky transformed into a stunning ombre of pink and orange, casting a warm, ethereal glow over everything.
I absolutely love these locations and I always go back for more!

My favourite thing about this shoot was the variety we got between the two locations. From the grounded, earthy feel of the forest to the expansive, open beach, the images really showcased Mimi’s multifaceted approach to wellness and coaching. Whether she was in meditation, yoga poses, or simply embracing the beauty of the moment, each frame told a story of spiritual connection, healing, and inner peace.
